Cart drawer
The Cart drawer opens from the side of the page when a shopper adds a product or opens the cart. Shoppers can change quantities, remove items, add a note and see recommendations without leaving the page. The section is included in the theme layout on every page. It is not added from Add section.

Turn the drawer on or off
Go to Theme settings > Cart and set Cart type to Drawer (default) or Page. With Page, adding to cart and the cart icon go to the cart page instead.
What the drawer shows
- A title with the item count, for example "Your bag (3)", and a close button.
- An optional subtitle (section setting).
- A free shipping progress bar, when turned on in Theme settings. It shows "You're [amount] away from free shipping" and then "You've unlocked free shipping". It shows only when the cart currency matches the store's default currency.
- Line items with quantity buttons and a remove button.
- A gift wrap checkbox, when a gift wrap product is chosen in Theme settings.
- Up to two product recommendations, each with an add button.
- An order note, when turned on in Theme settings.
- The subtotal and a checkout button.
- When the cart is empty: products from the collection chosen in Collection shown in an empty cart.

Open the cart drawer settings from the theme editor's section list.

These settings are in Theme settings > Cart. They also apply to the cart page.

If recommendations are off or there are none, the drawer shows up to two products from Collection shown in an empty cart (or from all products when that setting is empty) that are not already in the cart.
